Psychology Department- Hospital Visit On 19 December 2025, the Psychology Department of Nest College organized an academic visit to Mount Louis Hospital, Wayanad, a 100-bedded custodial care psychiatric hospital. During the visit, Psychologist Mr. Anvin and Dr. Linjo C. J. conducted informative and interactive classes for the students. The hospital, established in 1989, provides comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders, catering to children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population, including individuals with substance abuse disorders. The sessions focused on the hospital setting, treatment approaches, and the roles of mental health professionals in psychiatric care. The visit was carried out by the students Fathimath Rishana, Aswathi, Gopika, Navya, Geethu, Karthika, Fida, Hanan, Abhinav, and Misiriya, under the guidance of Assistant Professor Ajitha Rakesh. The visit provided valuable clinical exposure and significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of psychiatric care and professional practice.
