Institutional Visit to GHSS Cheemeni As part of their academic learning, the Psychology students of Nest College, Payyanur conducted an institutional visit to GHSS Cheemeni on Friday, December 12th. During the visit, the students met the school counselor and inquired in detail about her role, her involvement in supporting students’ mental health, the types of learning disabilities commonly found among students, the methods used to address these issues, and the roles and attitudes of parents and teachers in the counselling process. The counselor, Mrs. Divya, also explained various important aspects such as the behavioural changes commonly seen in children today and effective ways to handle them, the role of emotional control in ensuring a smoother life, and the challenges faced by counselors in a school setting. The students found the interaction very informative and were highly satisfied with the session. The students who participated in the visit were Fathimath Rishana, Abhinav, Fathimath Fida, Fathimath Hanan, Aswathi Jayakumar, Gopika P., Geethu Mohanan, Navya K. Rajesh, Karthika, and Muhammed. The team was led by Psychology Assistant Professor Ajitha Rakesh.
