National CA Day Celebration – 1 July 2026 The Department of Commerce, NEST College, Payyanur, celebrated National Chartered Accountants Day on 1 July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students. The programme was organized to commemorate the foundation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and to create awareness about the Chartered Accountancy profession among aspiring commerce students. The event featured CA Lijil Lakshman as the Chief Guest, who delivered an insightful career guidance session through online mode. During the session, he explained the significance of the Chartered Accountancy profession, the CA course structure, career opportunities, and the skills and dedication required to succeed in the field. His motivating interaction encouraged students to pursue professional excellence and make informed career choices. Following the career guidance session, a quiz competition based on the topics discussed was conducted to reinforce students' learning and assess their understanding. The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging in the competition and demonstrating their knowledge and interest.
